The King Can Do No Wrong
The King Can Do No Wrong, authored by Clift Brannon, Jr., is the format for the stirring life story of Southern Baptist evangelist Clifton W. Brannon, Sr. of Longview, Texas. The setting for the story takes place in the Federal District Courtroom in Miami, Florida, and is interwoven with the trial of the deposed Dictator of Panama, General Manuel Antonio Noriega.
This book depicts the conception, birth, development and ultimate distribution of
The Soul Winner's New Testament, of which Clift Brannon is the editor and publisher. As of this writing there are more than four million copies of "God's Matchless Tool" in print; one of which fell into the hands of General Noriega shortly after his capture and incarceration during the United States invasion of Panama. The miraculous events surrounding Noriega's definitive conversion and baptism are told for the first time in print. Included also is the unedited text of Noriega's plea before the court at his sentencing hearing. From humble beginnings in the sand flats of South Georgia during the Great Depression to his unlikely and dynamic rise in the legal profession, Brannon's life is truly a story of God's love, grace, and forgiveness. The tragic story of his youth, his struggle just to survive being the sole support of a widowed mother and six children, and his ultimate rise to the pinnacle of success in the business world becoming trial attorney for Sinclair Refining Company, then General Counsel for R. G. LeTourneau, Inc. is truly a study of "The American Dream."
The conflicts he faced between his religion and the "good life" is a sterling example of God's intervention and long suffering patience in our lives. You will be spell bound by the events leading to his eventual surrender to God, turning his back on success, and relying solely on God for support and guidance. This compelling story of his struggle with family and the world around him truly transcends the whole of society and the problems Christians are faced with daily. The heart rendering revelation of his alcoholic - drug addict son, Clift, Jr.'s ultimate arrest and conviction on criminal charges, and Brannon's unlikely criminal defense of him is a gripping saga paralleling the story of "The Prodigal Son" as told in the Bible.
Brannon's sheer determination, grit, and faith engulf you as he recounts the story of the ninety hours he spent with Noriega in his prison cell. The struggle to circumvent governmental "red-tape" in the pursuit of baptism for Noriega will lead you to the conclusion that God "can and will," if only we will ask.
God has blessed me over the years with the opportunity to serve HIM with my music. I trust you will enjoy these recordings "Jesus Loves Me" and "Teach us to Pray". For many years the LORD provided me with the opportunity to sing Christian Concerts all over the world. God has turned the stress in my life into success. I truly believe that great things happen when God and you confront a mountain. Most of my very favorite songs are on these albums. I Praise my Lord with the opportunity to share them with you. "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ" Philippians 4:6-7(to listen to a sample, click on the song title)
